IPS Seminar on "The High Precision Boundary Element Method and its Application in Power Sysyem"8/14/2019 The boundary element method (BEM).together with the finite element method (FEM) and the finite difference method (FDM), constitute three basic numerical methods.Because the boundary element method only calculates the function values of the nodes on the boundary, it has the advantages of reducing dimension and less degrees of freedom of solution.After calculating the function values of the nodes on the boundary by the boundary element method, the function values in the field can be further calculated.However, the coefficient matrix formed by BEM is full, which requires high computer memory, thus restricting the degree of freedom of solution.In order to improve the accuracy of boundary element calculation without increasing the degree of freedom.the methods of improving the accuracy of boundary element calculation are introduced from the aspects of singular integral analytical method of linear triangular element, regular surface boundary element and general surface boundary element.
